New | P&L Report Data Gathering |
To run the P&L Report, the application needs to get budgeting data from Sage Line 50, however, the process may take up to several minutes.
The process has now been converted to a background running process, which means that while the process will run the user will still be able to use the application. IMPORTANT NOTE: Sage Postings will not be allowed while the data gathering process is running. This is because the data should be taken after all postings have been performed (otherwise the report would not be accurate); furthermore, if both processes run at the same time the performance of both will decrease and some conflict may occur. The application will request the user whether to get latest data from Sage in a similar fashion as it did before, basically the first time the user attempts to run a report and there are no data from Sage or the data is old. However, it is also possible to start the Sage Data Gathering service for the P&L report on demand by clicking on the left tree option: Get Sage Nominal Data below the P&L Report section (see image below). |

Change | Application Back-Up Request |
At shutdown the application used to request the user to back-up McConnections database if it had not already been done over the last week.
Since version 1.0.0.19, the McConnections database is backed-up along with the Sage Line 50 data. Since Sage already prompts the user to regularly back-up the data, therefore this option is not required anymore in McConnections. However, The manual option to back-up the database remains in place. |

The email settings now implements an additional parameter: Enable SSL if the SMTP server type is selected.
This settings should be turned on most of the time (and it is by default), however, in some occasions (depending on the email provider) this option has to be turned off. |

Bug Fix | Calendar Enquiry Screen |
The calendar enquiry screen was showing 5 weeks at the time, however, in some occasion (i.e.: September 2013) the actual weeks (rows) required on calendar should be six, so the last day(s) of few months could not be shown here.
The screen has been adjusted to accommodate six rows instead of five as all calendars controls. |

The wizard application would start also for Read-Only licensed users, this behaviour was wrong as Read-Only user cannot set-up new companies.
If the licensed user is read-oly and a Sage company with no McConnections database is selected the application will now throw an error instead of showing the set-up wizard. |
