New | Reporting Data Source |
The P&L Report gets the data from the Advanced Budgeting table, however, such table is not retro-active, therefore it would not be populated by sage with transactions older than the day the budgeting was configured. The main problem is that comparison report with previous years or previous months cannot be run, also, the McDonald'd Report could not be effectively generated. To overcome this issue, a new setting has been added to allow the user to choose whether to use data from the Advanced Budgeting table or from the Audit Trial table. IMPORTANT NOTE : Getting data from the audit trial table will be slower as many more transactions needs to be imported, furthermore, the advanced budgeting table is the only place were budgets by department figures are maintained, therefore, such records will also have to be collected. The option is located on the 'Restaurant Settings' screen under the shop settings grid. |

New | Report Excel Export Options |
In order to avoid having too many 'Export to Excel' tool bar button on the View Report screen, a new facility has been added to maintain 'Excel Export Options'.
On the Report Settings Screen, on the top-right corner of the screen only a single 'Export to Excel' button is now present. By clicking the button a new dialog screen will appear showing the available export options. The user will be able to specify the location were reports will be exported, what the spread-sheet names should be, whether to generate a single file or multiple files and few more. Each option set will be remembered on a user base so that they will not have to be adjusted for every export. |

Bug Fix | Issue on multi-user Terminal Server |
This issue would have affected concurrent users on a Citrix Virtual Terminal Server environment only.
The McConnections application does not allow for multiple instances to run on the same PC, however, that should be allowed if the multiple instances are running under different user context. This issue has now been fixed and the application will allow multiple instances under different user context. NOTE: It is important to note here that the application does not allow for multiple users to be connected to the same database at he same time, therefore multiple users can run the application from the same terminal server as long as they use different Sage companies. |
